Crane Racing
Our Beginnings
Crane Racing is a 4th generation team. The Crane family was into Horseback Polo until 1950, when the Polo match was cancelled due to rain. Ronnie Crane said "I want to check out those stock cars at Waukegan Speedway". Since then the Crane family has been in racing. Ronnie's younger brothers Raymond and Allan started racing in the late 1950's. Mark Crane (Raymond's son) began racing at the age of 7. Now Derek and Nathan Crane (Mark's sons) carry the family's tradition competing in non-wing sprint cars.
1 HOPEFocused on fostering, mentoring and transforming communities.
1HOPE convened professional, civic and faith-based leaders to identify, discuss and assess where there is the greatest opportunity to restore hope and transform lives. Universally, foster care, mentorship and neighborhood transformation were at the top of our leaders’ lists. Fostering, mentoring and transforming neighborhoods have subsequently become our key initiatives. Together, we can ensure that foster children and families have the love and support they need, children are being mentored to become the next generation of leaders, and neighborhoods provide a better quality of life by transforming into safe and prosperous communities. |
Crane Racing is a proud supporter of 1 Hope. We are donating 10% of our event winnings and 10% of our merchandise sales to 1 Hope for the 2022 racing season. |
